TR Land & cattle
In 1979 Ronny and Cindy Brown started their first herd in the Texas Panhandle. Since then, they have continually adapted to the market and grown their business. In 2005 TR Land & Cattle bought their first Wagyu bulls and started to breed them with their Angus cows in order to lower the birth weight of the calves. This increased calving ease on the cows during labor. Not only did they yield smaller calves, the calves started to outperform their other herds and received premiums at the sale barn. This happy accident was a cow/calf operation with lower birth weights while maintaining the weight performance of the Angus and maximizing the grade of the calf at the sale. The Browns’ have continued to breed for healthy cows and calves, Wagyu marbling, Angus temperament, and premium grading.
The response from both critics and consumers has been very positive. Our beef has won multiple awards from the TCFA.

TR Cattle Co. sells direct to consumers throughout the U.S. You can choose to purchase a whole beef, half, quarter, or by the cut of your choice.
We are a traditional ranch that believes in slow, quiet livestock handling. Our cattle operations are managed on horseback, lowering cattle stress, which creates more tender beef.
