“We have heard from friends that purchasing beef in bulk (as a quarter, half or whole) is an economical way to buy beef, but not necessarily better than the choice or prime cuts that can be purchased at a store. This was our first time purchasing beef in large quantities and we ended up buying a quarter of the Wagyu-Angus beef from TR Cattle Co. We hoped it would be more economical and, at least, the same quality to which we were accustomed, mostly USDA prime beef.

The beef from TR Cattle far exceeded our expectations. The beef is tender, juicy, flavorful, has abundant marbling and requires less seasoning than similar cuts from the market. All at an average cost well below what we pay at a market or big box store. Recently, while eating some of the Denver steak from TR Cattle Co., prepared as carne asada, my 18-year old son remarked, "This Wagyu has totally set the bar, we can't purchase beef from the store again... we are gonna need a bigger freezer." All the cuts have been that way.
